Strangford Lough Yacht Club (SLYC) is based at Whiterock, one of the most protected and scenic spots on the Lough.
Established in 1920, it is famous for its vibrant social scene and its traditional 'River' class keelboats. The club overlooks a stunning archipelago of drumlin islands, which provide sheltered channels that are perfect for wingers looking to escape the open sea swell. It is a premier RYA training centre with a deep focus on youth and adult progression. The local community is highly experienced and shares a passion for coastal navigation. The club's facilities provide a reliable base for sessions, with managed access and a focus on safety.
