Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club is located on the 240-acre Pennington Flash in Greater Manchester.
This location is one of the most active inland sailing venues in the North West, known for its strong racing tradition. The Flash is a subsidence lake created by coal mining, offering steady winds that roll across the surrounding parkland. The club is a premier RYA training centre and has seen a massive influx of wingers due to its safe, non-tidal environment and professional facilities. It is the heart of the regional wind-sports community.
