COROS watches are built for long battery life and high-precision GPS, which is why wing foilers, windsurfers, and sailors wear them on the water. The COROS app is strong on training load and biometrics. It does not tell you if a tack was efficient, how much VMG a gybe cost, or how much of the session you spent on the foil.
Connect COROS directly to KnotNow and the watch track becomes a wind-sport debrief.
How to link COROS with KnotNow
- Open KnotNow on iOS, Android, or the web.
- Go to account settings.
- Tap Connect COROS and sign in.
Sync the watch with COROS, then tap Import Workouts. Import covers the last 30 days. COROS has a daily import allowance, and automatic background sync isn’t on yet. If a ride is missing, tap import again the next day.
Turn your COROS GPS tracks into performance metrics
Every tack and gybe unpacked
- Smoothness Score. An objective read on turn quality, so you can trend it week to week.
- Exit speed and recovery. The short window after the turn — did you keep the power?
- VMG cost. How much height or momentum that turn gave away.
Foil analytics and flight percentage
- Time and distance on foil. Flight time, and the percentage of the session spent up.
- Port versus starboard. Flight on each tack, so a weak side shows up.
- Kit changes. A new wing, stabiliser, or mast position, seen against time on foil.
Leg breakdown
- Upwind. VMG and upwind angle as the fundamentals settle.
- Crop the track. Trim the beach chat and the pre-start drift. Keep the leg or the race.
