Exmouth Seafront Winging Guide

Winging, Sailing & Windsurfing Forecast

Loading forecast data...

a high-performance venue known for its "wind against tide" conditions.

Unlike the "Duck Pond" inside the estuary, the seafront is exposed to the English Channel and offers some of the best wave-jumping and foil-surfing in Devon. The sandbars that shift across the mouth of the Exe Estuary create a variety of peaks and flat-water pockets depending on the tide. This is an advanced spot due to the fierce tidal currents. However, for those with the skill to handle it, the reward is epic: long, rolling swells and incredibly consistent wind. It is a favourite for local "wave junkies" and becomes a hive of activity whenever a South-Westerly gale is forecast.
