perhaps the most iconic shoreline in the UK, and while it is primarily a tourist destination, it offers a world-class backdrop for adventurous wingers and windsurfers.

The bay is deep and clear, and in a South-Westerly breeze, the wind funnels along the Jurassic Coast cliffs. For wing foilers, flying past the famous stone arch is a "bucket list" experience, offering clean air and rolling swell. The community here is transitory; most riders visit for the photo opportunity rather than a daily session. The advantage is the incredible water clarity and scenery. However, the negatives are significant: the walk down (and back up) the cliff path with foil gear is exhausting, and the beach is often packed with tourists, making launching a wing difficult and potentially dangerous in high season. Ideal Wind: SW, S (Clean coastal wind) Viable Wind: W, WSW, SW, SSW, S, SSE, SE
