Winging, Sailing & Windsurfing Forecast

Loading forecast data...

one of South Wales’ most consistent and accessible beaches for winging and windsurfing.

This massive sandy bay near Port Talbot offers plenty of space for riders to spread out, making it an excellent venue for both those finding their feet in wing foiling and seasoned pros looking for wave-jumping action. The beach is exposed to the prevailing South-Westerlies, which often blow cross-onshore, providing safe conditions with a reliable "push" back to the sand. The local winging community is growing fast here, often mixing with a long-established windsurfing and sailing crowd. Because the beach is so wide, it rarely feels crowded, even on high-wind days. The water state varies from a moderate chop at mid-tide to significant rolling swell when the wind has been blowing for a few days, offering a diverse playground for all abilities. Ideal Conditions: SW, S, SE, W, NW. South-Westerly is the most reliable and clean direction.
