How to Use the KnotNow Forecast
We provide 5-day precision and 14-day outlook views for every spot. But these aren't generic numbers—they're filtered through your eyes.
The Ratings: From "Poor" to "Epic"
Every hour is scored against your personal profile. If the wind hits your sweet spot, the tide is right for your foil, and the swell is exactly where you want it (whether that's a flat-water blast or a 15-second pulse), you'll see an Epic rating. If the water quality is iffy or the tide doesn't work for that sandbar, we'll flag it.
Pro Tip: Head to the Customise page for any spot to dial in your specific wind ranges, swell preferences, and tide windows.
Global vs. Local Settings
By default, your wind range and schedule preferences apply to every spot on your list (Global). Want to set a specific "high-tide only" rule for your local harbour without affecting your deep-water spots? Just tick "Set only for this spot" on the Customise page to override your global settings.
Curate Your Coast
Hit the Heart icon on any location to add it to your Favourites. You can then jump between your top-tier breaks via the Favourites dropdown in the main nav—perfect for a quick "where am I going?" check over your morning coffee.
